This very well-designed app is designed to help refugees to learn the German language. The App is available in English, German, Arabic and Persian.

Iconary is the first mobile dictionary made for refugees. The App is specially designed for refugees needs: learn the very basic vocabularies for daily life just by icons and real voice output. And the best: you don´t need to be connected and it´s completely free.

Ankommen is an app developed in partnership with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, the Federal Employment Agency, the Goethe Institute, and Bayerische Rundfunk, and is set up to provide new refugees with a set of resources to get better accustomed to their new home. Once downloaded, Ankommen can be used without the need for an internet connection and is available in Arabic, Farsi, English, French, and German.
